What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I really enjoy seeing other people demonstrate abilities only possible as a result of knowledge that I have facilitated them acquiring. I enjoy seeing those younger than me excel to a point beyond that which I was at their age, and I like to feel like I am contributing to the betterment of the next generation as a whole in this small way.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I think I am very charismatic, and the confidence and relaxation I exude both puts students at ease and makes them more eager to engage. I have worked with a very diverse range of people throughout my mental health career spanning all areas of the developmental spectrum, so I like to think I am good at communicating with a wide range of individuals at different levels of development and proficiency. What's more is I think that the amount of study I have done and the reality that there were points where I was struggling leaves me with an empathy and understanding for my students predicaments.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Impart upon a student not knowledge per se, but rather a desire to expand their own knowledge through self-directed learning. Learning and education should be a lifelong process, not one that ends when an individual completes their primary vocational education. Learning makes us grow and develop and look at things in different ways, and the desire to engage in this process willingly and enjoy not just the journey of learning something new but enjoying the fruits of its application is something that all educators should prioritize in teaching their students.
