What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I believe tutoring is rewarding for several reasons:
- Tutoring helps in improvement, growth and gaining confidence, both in the student and in the tutor.
- The ability to focus on the individual, build a relationship with them and help them in a more targeted way by designing a curriculum that meets the student's needs.
- It feels rewarding to watch and measure the student's progress, and to feel that in a way you've contributed to the person's future success and well-being.
- The enjoyment from sharing knowledge
- Gaining fresh insights and ideas from students
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe my strengths stem from my own experiences on both sides of the coin as a student and tutor. As I am still studying I am continually testing new study methods for myself to improve my own success. I wish to help other students and share my knowledge as well as my experiences and own study methods and skills with them. I also understand every student is an individual and everyone has different styles of learning, needs, difficulties and strengths. In order to adapt to each individual student, I aim to approach each student on a case by case basis. I am flexible, open and involved.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I consider the most thing a tutor can do for a student is personalisation and to instill belief in the students' capability to continue improving and bettering themselves. The 'most important' aspect for any particular student should also be personalised to the student, whether it is identifying gaps in their knowledge, honing the fundamentals of a subject, or developing the technical and specific knowledge in a subject. A key point that I believe tutors should do for students is to also help develop the skills to learn, effective study methods, organisation and time management skills, etc.
