Ali was confident in her operations (+ - x /) of positive and negative integers. She also handled using short division well even when given larger numbers to work with. Later she picked up the concept of mixed numerals and improper fractions and was able to convert them with more ease near the end of the lesson. Ali put in great effort today! Well done!

Ali just needs to remember to convert mixed numerals to improper fractions prior to conducting any operations with those fractions. More practice will be given to this topic.

Gus was more confident than last week in figuring out what missing angles were, particularly for the first two questions we worked on. Gus now feels slightly more confident in this subject (7-8/10) in terms of confidence. Good job Gus!

While Gus is getting more confident and accurate with his calculations, Gus can use some further practice with identifying the angle relationships he used to get his final values to provide justification for those values.

Max picked up the language used to describe algebra well. He was able to correctly identify components of algebraic expressions and use language to describe different parts of an expression.

Max has identified that he was confused with how to identify like terms in the past. While this concept was clarified more today, Max has identified that he would still like more practice with identifying like terms.

Gus understood the different types of angle relationships well; he feels relatively confident (6/10). He also feels a similar level of confidence in using those angle relationships to find missing angles.

A few tricky questions were given at the end that required a very strong understanding of angle relationships. An aspect that Gus found slightly challenging was recognising angle relationships in more complex shapes to find missing angles.
