Levi has a great numerical foundation and is able to count and interpret questions very well. In the language conventions, he was able to quickly recognise incorrectly spelt words and when spending some time to sound out the word he was able to correctly spell it with little to no help.

When counting it is easy for Levi to rush into the problem and may cause him to lose track. Practicing patience when answering even easy questions would be good. He has also just been introduced to division and multiplication so having more practice on those areas would help him for his math homework and developing his math skills. He was also able to be fully focused for the majority of the lesson however tapered off near the end. Potentially he could be stimulated by having a snack as a reward near the end of the lesson to encourage him.

Levi was quickly able to complete his homework. He was also quick to pick out incorrect spelling in word for language conventions. He is very good at the for math at his current level. I believe that numeracy will be his strongest suit for his NAPLAN.

While Levi was able to find incorrectly spelt words, he did have some trouble with the correct spelling. Having him write down the correct spelling a few times would be good. Due to Levi's condition it would be good to accommodate him by allowing him to have a bit of exercise as a break and it could be useful to implement a reward system so he is more inclined to complete his homework. For example 30 minutes of study means 20 minutes of playing soccer. Levi also enjoys typing more than writing. While it would be good for him to get used to writing, he could potentially increase his vocabulary by typing games. This will improve his familiarity with words and I believe would be a good skill for his future note taking. It will also encourage him as it can be similar to a game for him. These are just some suggestions to aid him in focusing on studying in a more engaging way.

Levi was able to quickly understand the concept of fractions and devision very quickly and is now introduced to right angles. He was also extremely good at finding coordinates and statistics.

Levi did lose a bit of focus when explaining new concepts. However, I did find that he gained interest when he had something easy (like coordinates) with the difficult questions or when I asked him to draw pictures as visual aids for my explanation.

Levi was able to quickly resolve the sample test with no help at all. He was able to cover number problems with a little help and was able to pick up new concepts with the decimal point and doubling quickly.

While Levi is able to complete one or two step equations very well, he loses interest when approaching a difficult problems. These problems involve multiple steps which cannot be calculated in his head. To cater to this, we'll built up his confidence and problem solving skills with the NAPLAN booklet with a more structured approach so he is able to have the courage to attempt a problem even if it is not correct the first time.
