My Strengths as Tutor
I think my weakness would be difficulty diagnosing a problem a child has as I do not have a lot of experience with this. For example, if a child is constantly mispelling words even after being told the correct way of spelling I wouldn't know how to rectify this issue and would have to do further research or ask for assistance as to what strategies to use to help the child.
I think my strengths are I am a good listener, I'm compassionate, I am very patient, I have a lot of experience studying, I am aware of how students learn, and I understand the content.
Most important things I can do for a student
I think the most important thing a tutor can do is teach a student the skills and strategies necessary for them to reach their potential and achieve success, as well as believe the student can succeed. It is important to provide support and encouragement to students. Allowing a student to achieve success and realise their potential will provide motivation and build their self-confidence which will have a positive impact on their learning.
