However, I do think the lessons may be more worthwhile if he had more confidence and was keen in taking on slightly more challenging math problems outside of his comfort zone. Ben puts genuine effort into his mathematics as indicated by the grade he received for his recent mathematics assessment/assignment (16/20). There are no issues with Ben's work habits from what I have observed.
Alex excels at maths. There are some sections of English that have caused difficulty, namely in the research essays of last term. However, this is minimal and continued tutoring will minimise this issue. Nothing much to speak of! English is a bit more difficult that maths, but it's not anything to be concerned about.
